Founded in 1949 by Joe Turasky Sr. in Springfield Illinois, the company began as a slaughterhouse that supplied local neighborhood grocery stores with meats. This family owned, now third generation owned retailer and wholesaler specializes in providing local restaurants, grocers and individuals with the highest quality meat products available.

The retail arm of the wholesale business Y-T Packing, Turasky Meats is located at 1129 Taintor Road, across from the Illinois State fairgrounds.

In 2004, the company started to expand its ready-to-eat products division such as, Hot Dogs, Summer Sausage, Snack Sticks, Italian beef and Pork Barbecue. Not only can consumers purchase Turasky Meats locally, but our products have been sold at Sams, Jewel, County Markets and other regional grocery stores. We also manufacture products for food service distributors.

Devoted to developing new products like the bacon-wrapped pork filets, dry-roasted ham, pork chop on a stick, marinated pork chops, Italian beef, BBQ pork and expanding its market presence throughout Illinois and beyond.

We cut steaks, pork, and beef daily so our clients always have the freshest and best quality products possible.
